The world probably can use more comics about seven foot-tall praying mantises from outer space. But while this book strives valiantly to fill that void, it’s not quite there yet. The plot is virtually incomprehensible, the dialogue is B-movie hackneyed. The art is good, but it’s also extremely static. Burley needs to work on his action panels. What the book has is potential. I like giant insects. I liked Mimic, I kind of liked Starship Troopers. If it gets a little work, I could learn to like this. (KR)
