YUM

Kara and Ann are, so it seems, two Kamloops teens with ample coloured paper and photocopier access, spending their evenings typing (on a typewriter), cutting, pasting and giggling. There are occasional contributions from their pals. I guess they ve been at it awhile, since this is issue 11. The material covers events at school, zine reviews, movies, TV and misc thoughts on playing with your food, the length of time it takes to piss, and bands (Kara says she could repeat that she loves Huggy Bear forever). The cheery tone of the notes-passed-in-class mini-logues that make up the zine brought to mind a print version of a song by Cub (or other cuddle-core band). Is this the B.C. identity? Mind you, if Cub songs were as short and spontaneous-sounding as the pieces in YUM, they d be a lot more fun.
