Work In Progress

Last time, we gushed about this new mag. And besides the fact that this summer issue has far more text that previous ones – some of which bordered on boring – there’s still tons going on that gives WIP a heartbeat rather than just a pulse. First off, the feature interview with Paul James, an artist and teacher at S.E.E.D., makes me want to go back to high school as much as it makes me want to get a first hand look at his art; his work on the back cover, which is in full colour on a semi-glossy stock, is breathtaking. WIP pounds on with some great photos, if a bit small, by Jennifer Gilmore and ticks right to the end with not just one, but two comics from one of our great comic heroes: Stuntman William.
