This magazine provides a global look at the actions taken to free laboratory animals and to damage and disrupt animal research and fur retailers. The U.S., England and Finland seem to be the hot spots. The magazine, interestingly, also takes a critical look at the turn towards violence that is taken by some animal activists, especially in the UK. But it doesn’t explore those issues in the sort of depth that would interest casual readers. It’s also starting from the point of view that animal testing is always bad, which obviously means that this is not a magazine for everybody. But it does provide news of the movement and its actions, even within Canada, that you’re not going to get elsewhere. (KR)
