First of all, let me comment that Katie seems to be a happy and optimistic soul. She likes to philosophize about issues in life, but generally, she looks on the bright side. She’s definitely a lot more optimistic than I am, which is why I think I found some of her stuff to be a little bit cheesy. She lines the pages of her work with inspirational quotes, some of which I found thoughtful and cool, and some of which I didn’t like. Katie also fills her pages with lots of photos and cartoons, which I liked. I did like her emphasis on loving other humans, cause that’s important to me too. She really wants to make the world a better place. You can tell she had fun creating her zines, and is learning about herself and what she thinks. So some of it was cheesy. I forgive her, cause I like what she’s trying to do. (AK)

zine, issues 1, 2, and 3. $1 each. 26 pages. Katie Treasurywala, 1650 Howat Cres. Mississauga, Ont. L5J 4G5.
