Touch

Touch

I like that I can touch Touch, the ink that smudges off on my finger tips from almost high-quality newsprint leaves me feeling dirty and titillated… This magazine should create that sensation, for all intents and purposes. It’s a blue-collar read on fetishism and other stuff. No over-intellectualization here… Touch actually has a warm small town feel to it. Personal ads are mainly from individuals living in towns and cities outside Toronto (it’s billed as “Ontario’s sexuality and alternative lifestyle magazine, published by a WOMAN”). While I don’t feel dumb or ignorant or even out of my league reading this, the basic grammar, sentence structure, and occasional spelling errors and off-the-cuff dialogue (ie. by Lucky, an exotic dancer) is sometimes off-putting. While sporting a glossy cover, the inside’s not too flashy. There are a couple of informative articles, dirty jokes, provocative pictures and ads, and some middle-of-the-road fantasy fiction. (PVP)
