Title: Sentences

A novel take on the word “publish,” Annika Grill’s “Sentences” is about 46 strips of paper 81/2 inches long and only 11/4 inches tall, held together by one of those big paper clips that has the little handles you can pull back. Each page holds a line or two of poetry, my favourite being: “fuck you, fuck it, fuck me../how many people can you fuck at once?” I assume there’s some cut-up principle at work here, where I’m supposed to take the clip off, rearrange the strips and read it again, which I’m not about to do, but I can see it providing hours of fun for everyone else in the poetry group.
