As a magazine for bipeds interested in lo tech, you couldn’t ask for more. Hell if they put more in you couldn’t read it all in one sitting. This is a jam packed info session with tons of good features, regulars and sundry bits of curiosity. Layout varies, as in some pages are outstanding and others, well, they’re not as good. Everything’s in here; people, places, art and found art, machines (including tech info), indie record reviews, advice (never drink more than 4 espressos in one day) and a good solid batch of curiosity snippets like “good stuff from a mass-produced world” which as you would expect is a fairly short list that includes things like New Balance jogging shoes (the only runner not made in an underdeveloped country with an exploited work force.) This magazine is clever, well informed and unpretentious.
