“This is great stuff!” I don’t know how many times I said this out loud as I was sitting on the crapper, leafing through this text-heavy whirlwind of rants and irreverent shit. Lots of stuff to smirk at in this zine. Lots of xeroxed collages that hit the nervous system just right. This zinester used to put out Snivel and Fireside Angel, but he says he will no longer be offering any back issues–too bad. In it the (32 year old male creator of this zine who nowhere gives his name) writes a short piece on why he hates most straight men, and prefers women and gay men as friends. Although straight, he doesn’t identify with a lot of straight guy’s concerns, like the stereotypical “cars, sports and chics” attitude. He calls himself a SNAG (sensitive new age guy). In another ‘rant’ SNAG writes on the incredulity he finds himself in for being 32 years old. Ancient in zine terms alright! He cannot identify with the adult world, and refuses to be locked into the “adult lifestyle.” Kids rule! There is a lot in this zine to read and look at and you get to meet a honest, cool and, unfortunately, anonymous guy.
