The Gone Centuries is a blog from a nerdy but endearing Halifax man who calls himself Uberdestructinator. In his posts, he tries his hand at poetry, muses about the state of the world, puts up worthy quotes and occasionally references Star Wars. History, nihilism, commercialism and loneliness seem like key themes, whether intentional or not. Some posts are very well thought out, and give frank commentary about modern society, while others seem to be complete gibberish. Combined, the reader sees the inside of a young man’s mind as he struggles to articulate his thoughts, daily experiences and ambitions. Sometimes he’s quite artsy and high-minded, and sometimes he just posts Led Zeppelin lyrics and writes about masturbation. (Jennifer Fabro)
