In a perfect world, girls with guitars would get equal play with whatever nonsense is on the radio right now, because in a perfect world, people would want to know the truth and no one speaks it like a girl with a guitar. There’s no artifice, no style, it’s rock degree zero, the clearest conduit from heart to heart…at least, that is, in a perfect world.
