Talkin Tarmac Blues

This zine covers so much territory, crams in so many bands, and generally spouts off about so much stuff that it ends with an index listing everything from Aquaman (page 21) to World War 2 (page 54). From an abortive interview with G Love at the outside-and-up-the-stairs Opera House backstage (G Love was too stoned, the interviewer was too drunk), to Ingrid’s Western American journey — notable for her defense of shop-lifting from NASA and Thanksgiving in Dallas — the reader is treated to no-nonsense prose that trumpets the hard-edged clarity all cool teens still living at home should master. And, lest we forget, Super Friendz, The Hardship Post and, yawn, another farewell to Sloan (see: ‘Halifax’ pages 21, 26, 22, 23).
