Tales From Purgatory is the long-running digest-sized comic by Randy Smallman. He writes the stories and gets different illustrators to ink each issue. This time the artist is Thomas Rasmussen, and the tale concerns a preacher’s son in Saskatchewan who makes a pact with the devil in exchange for death metal superstardom. A nice bit of legal snow from a “Biker Chick from Hell” spices things up and will have some readers drawing their own conclusions about the annals of rock & roll myth. (DF)
