zine review:
Sudden Stars
I find myself caught in questions of ownership, here, when I know I should just let this collage-zine off the hook, and let the snippets of text stand outside of context or authorship, just visual flourishes alongside all the airy line drawings and white space. The writing in here is sometimes positioned as a quote, and sometimes not, so I’m never sure when Rossi’s writing begins and his quoting of things, like Sloan lyrics, ends. This whole thing is very breezy, pretty and light but sort of frustratingly so. (sarah pinder)
