Chris continues to navigate territory of personal politics, ruminating on the nature of his straight_edge existence, make_up, and gay and lesbian film festivals. For me, Chris is at his best when he gives us surprising revelations and lets us make the conclusions. “Today it hit me,” he writes. “I’m a geek.” He pretty much leaves it at that, lets us decide if that is good, or bad, or whatever. When Chris gets too ardent, I tend to lose interest. When he is momentously insignificant, I’m fascinated. (HN)
