Stanzas

Stanzas is a publication put out by rob mclennan, the man who does not sleep. This is the Chris McCreary issue. First thing I noticed is that Chris really likes long words, and probably his thesaurus. Chris tries to shove as many words as possible into his poems. You can’t even read his work out loud. I couldn’t wade through it. The images didn’t jump out (if there were images, I couldn’t find them.) I’ll let you see for yourself: “Drainage sorts affiliation,/seeks admission of this massive hierarchy’s sorrowful forest./Thus a conundrum’s crux scrubs away conjecture/The adversity in her vocalization reveals harrowed stomachs.” Pardon me?
