Spit

Collage and scribbled poems/lists fill this zine. At times it works impressively, a picture of a doll floating over “Use yarn for hair. Use cloth to dress dolls” and “please suck my toe. I would feel so connected.” At other times, that search for connection becomes too literal, photocopies of ticket stubs coupled with the pronouncement “I can fill my life w/music.” So? Who cares? A worthwhile but frustrating zine, I wanted things to develop but, except for a few great moments, the interplay of text and collage was too static, too literal. Still, there’s something here. (HN)
