Somber Souls on Prozac

Two words: Tori Amos. One word: Goth. Three words: cut and paste. Several words: “I don’t give a shit if Sanctuary is a hole – I still love it!” So, you might be able to guess that the Cure plays a supporting role, and the CBC series Straight Up gets blasted for its attempt with pseudo- goth character played by Sarah Polley. But, as cynical as this review might seem, SSOP actually keeps you reading and if you’re the least bit interested in Toronto goth culture, this would be a good starting spot. You’ll also get an interview with Reverse, some reviews (including, yes that’s right, the Tori Amos show) and a whole whack of goth poetry.
