Six By Six

Six By Six has a soft cover. Real soft-feels like velveteen or something. It’s tan and features the cryptic message “Becomes impossibly, stupidly hard.” Wonder what that means? Me too. The zine’s spine is a sturdy rubber band, not quite as thick or gamy as the type you’d find on a head of broccoli, but pretty sturdy nevertheless. There are six names listed on the back: Eric Weitzman, Jon Cone, Dorothea Lasky, Phil Cordelli, Julie Ritter, Laura Simms. These are the contributors. Looks like we’ve got a 1:2 ratio in terms of males versus females. Size-wise, Six By Six is a 7-inch by 7-inch squared, meaning the zine has an area of 49 inches. And the poems? I really didn’t like them. Too uninspired, too oblique, too inconsequential. (Cameron Gordon)
