Saskatchewan Naturally

This magazine is a great attempt at showcasing some of Saskatchewan’s beautiful wildlife and landscape. This particular issue includes the winners of the Saskatchewan sunset contest, which is almost worth the price of the magazine if you are an expatriate, or you’ve never seen a Saskatchewan sunset. (If you haven’t, I feel sorry for you.) Anyway, lots of excellent Saskatchewan writers and freelancers contribute to this magazine, including Joan Eyolfson Cadham and journalist Amy Jo Ehman. The paper is glossy and the quality of this magazine is excellent, in all aspects. If you are interested in wilderness, or are thinking of planning a trip there, you should definitely pick up a copy. There are articles on the Treebeard trail in Prince Albert national park and art which showcases the prairie grain elevator. (Grain elevators are actually disappearing on the prairies, which upsets a lot of prairie folk.) The excellent pieces in this magazine offer interesting information and history about Saskatchewan.
