Rider’s Alley

This little baby proclaims that it is Montreal’s spoken word zine. It reflects some of the vibrancy and interesting work that is being created in this city. Rob Mclennan (or the man who doesn’t sleep, as I prefer to call him) is also featured here. There are some really interesting drawings by Sara Bruno. Her images were evocative enough to make me look at them twice. There’s some good stuff happening here. I really like Kaie Kellough’s dub poetry. The different fonts and the lay out is pretty reader-friendly as well. And with all this going for it, for the low low price of $1, you really can’t go wrong. (PS I’ve been told that this publication has recently changed its name to Scribblers.) (AK)
