Raw Nervz Haiku

What is there to say about Raw Nervz that people haven’t already heard? This is a 52-page litzine of haiku and haiku-related writing, and it doesn’t fail to disappoint. While never one who’s much for haiku, myself, I found some of the stuff in here to be really interesting and pretty. My favourites were the poems by Tom Tico and William Scott Galasso (an example of Galasso’s writing: “our feet swish,/swish swimming/through fallen leaves”), although to be completely fair everything in here is pretty good. Raw Nervz has shown itself to be the definitive haiku literary zine in Canada, and it really doesn’t disappoint. (Anthony Gerace)
