Radio

Radio is a collection of wonderful and strange fragmented, free verse poetry (does anybody write anything other than free verse these days?). But unlike some indie poetry collections, Felicia seems to have spent some time with her work. It is carefully crafted and organized; the whole time she manages to maintain a somber tone that speaks with a quiet fascination about her subjects: “saw motion in a stream of snow water/ running down a manhole/ glittered”. This is a strong collection that by someone who pays particular attention to the way in which she constructs language on paper, something not enough “poets” do, but should. Excellent! (Skot Deeming)
