Quarry

Quarry is a mixture of poetry, short fiction, drama, photography and reviews. Most of its contributors have been previously published in Canada’s leading journals, though a few fresh writers (with credentials) are in evidence. For instance, “The Muse Café” by Marnie Lamb is an example of excellent writing from a previously unpublished author. Its use of word play is delicious and is based around the premise of literally eating one’s words. The layout of the magazine is coherent and aesthetically pleasing. This magazine is underrated, if you’re looking for something different, Quarry is for you. It is a great representation of contemporary writing in Canada and well worth the subscription price.
