Proper Gander resembles a high school newspaper in format and content. It’s for people who like their comics and stories real weird, and it lives up to its name. Some of the comics are crudely drawn, as if they were doodles ripped out of someone’s notebook, while others are of better quality. Some comics have something to say, some don’t. Same with the stories, like “The Continuing Adventures of Supersecretcyberagent Sabrina Blaze,” which is a long segment in an even longer story about . . . (uuuhhhmmm) . . . since this is episode 6, I’m guessing people are just reading it because they’ve made it this far. There are some zine and music reviews. But there’s nothing particularly spectacular within its pages. (PC)
