Rockin’ bowlin’ zine! Back in my temporary home town of Peterborough ON, Friday was league night followed by ROCK’N’BOWL: lights go down, disco ball spins and the tunes are pumped (not a good place to do mushrooms according to some friends). I even own a bowling ball and bag and shoes (but I haven’t used them yet; they were a present). I liked the bowling movie Kingpin (a very weird movie, not merely dumb). And I like Poodle! Very well designed (like a good bowling shirt: sharp lines), witty tales regarding the twin topics of poodles and bowling, lane reviews from across Western Canada. Includes a non-specific (or ultra-specific) rant (what would a zine be without one) that was actually amusing! One caveat, I’m afraid I have to disagree with the editorial preference for five pin. Ten pin is the way to go.
