Somewhere in the magnificiently inspired city of Montreal, poets are hammering out their craft in basements and cafes and on Ping-Pong tables. From his cover letter to the content of his poetry, which is very disciplined and persistent, Daniel Whittaker-Van Dusen is a very intense poet. Observe: “No concernful oracular attention payed to shell rounds; metaphyyiscal ascension recevies no honourable mention; as she lacks spiritual pain concerning moral declension.” Yeah, easy street right? Daniel W-VD is really intense and I dig his intensity. It reminds me of when I used to be intense and how it seemed like the world around couldn’t be as intense because everyone in it liked the Spice Girls. This is a great poetry zine from my favourite art city of all time, Montreal. We will be hearing from Daniel Whittaker-Van Dusen in the future. (Nathaniel G. Moore)
