People’s Voice
I have a certain sentimental fondness for the People’s Voice. It reminds me of the kneejerk leftism of my youth. But, while I still support the stands taken by the paper, I now have a need for facts and actual information. And this paper just doesn’t provide them, settling largely for slogans. This issue, from November, contains calls for protestors to derail the WTO talks in Seattle. Given how successfully those talks were disrupted, the paper probably has some reason to feel proud. But it could be so much more if it just attempted some actual journalism. (KR)
