Paradigm

My favourite things about this London, Ontario zine were the impressive lino cuts dispersed throughout the text-heavy pages. I was particularly drawn to “Raskolnikov” and “Kurtz” by Mary Roche and Eric Cator’s “Seeing the Forest Through the Trees” series. Aside from the beautiful art, this zine is a useful resource for local artists and serves its purpose to promote London’s cultural scene. Paradigm 5 also features poetry by various writers, articles about the local art scene and galleries, fiction and interviews. Paradigm’s layout isn’t particularly inspiring. The titles of the articles are the exact same font as the body text, which makes reading them a bit confusing. (EPW)
