Night of the Prom

Sex and drugs and couples breaking up and couples forming: that’s what proms are made of. And that’s what this chapbook is made of, too. To my mind, the best thing here is a precise, sympathetic poem about sweet-natured prom-night infidelity by Jennifer LoveGrove. There’s a haiku cycle by Sherwin Tjia that’s dreamy in a sex-and-drugs way, and there are two short stories about sort of white-trashy prom-night breakups that really aren’t bad at all.
