Nytsirk is a talented, sexy, punky artist, in the Canadian homegrown Julie Doucet/Fiona Smyth tradition. Each issue of Mudflaps (great title!) features two or three comic stories or illustrated monologues on body image, sex relationships, dreams, friends… Issue 3 announces that the zine was banned! (in Guelph for 3 days) but we aren t told the story behind the legend. The price seems a tad steep for the size, but as the ‘zine proclaims (and proves), it s a free cuntree, so assert your liberties and Nystirk s by sending her a swab um, that s swap.
