Don’t be fooled by the Washington box number: these moto-rollers are Vancouverites. And you know, it never occurred to me what an obvious, perfect zine subject the wide wheelie world of motorcyles is: pop culture legend, childhood memory, low-rent and low-living, plus tech. I think it was the Hell’s Angels illiteracy stereotype that blinded me to the possibilities. And boy, do these cycle-phantics know their stuff. From biker movies to buyers’ guides, heavy on the kitsch and light on the commercials, with envelopes stuffed full of stickers and trading cards, and a decidedly punkrock tinge to their colours. Get your motor runnin’ and head out on the highway with the Motorcycho crew. “I love you man, but you’re a bummer.”
