Mix

[email protected] The magazine of artist-run culture in Canada provides a useful guide to artist-run centres across the country, plus a review of current gallery shows. These are good resources, especially if you are an artist. There are also a couple interviews and essays. These are brief but interesting. The design is nice. I would expect nothing less from an artist-run magazine. More critique would help though (on their part, not mine). I’m wondering if Mix is typical of all Canadian arts writing. In comparison to some of the British or American writings I’ve read, this seems sort of milquetoast. I hope I don’t offend anyone by saying that. (TD)
