Millennium Bugs
The first issue of Millennium Bugs is your basic retelling of the Adam and Eve story. Substitute Ralph for Adam, Edna for Eve, and a joke tree for the apple tree and you pretty much get the gist of this thing. Issue two of Millennium Bugs (subtitled “Dorothy Of Oz”) is much more inspired than issue one. Here we get a revolutionary Dorothy whose mission is to overthrow the oppressive tyrants of Oz (i.e. the wizard and the two wicked witches. the good witch, apparently, is not a tyrant). William seems to take more narrative chances in this issue, and succeeds in making it altogether more interesting than issue one. The visual realizations of Dorothy and the Lollipop Gang kick ass!
