Happy 1st anniversary MM! Essentially a magazine dedicated to indie music, MM is celebrating with an issue overflowing with info. Lots on small acts (The Dinner is Ruined, Solar Baby, DOA). Lots on big acts (Garbage, Len, Luscious Jackson). Lots on old acts (Pansy Division, Grapes of Wrath, Ani Difranco). Lots on new acts (see for yourself). However, these articles are quite short so there is a little on a lot of topics. Then throw in a Roswell conspiracy theory (where were you on the night of July 4, 1974?), a commentary on the Microsoft case, an owl named Mr. Hooty who is disturbed by “dishonesty” in the indie music scene, artwork, contests, coupons and, last but not least, a recipe for chilli.
