Loosend

Loosend

These three comics are supposed to follow Clyf Hull’s other work, Satin Annie. Like Satin Annie, Loosend is visually unique. My favourite line is in issue #1 where “Mr. Robot Gets Re-incarnated.” Clyf manages to evoke the picture of a robotic Er as it passes from death, through the pool of forgetfulness, and back into life. Plato’s Republic doesn’t even come close to this kind of detailed imagery. In fact, I have no doubt in my mind that one day Black Label will hire Clyf Hull to rejuvenate its image just as it did with the creators of Mr. X back in the ’80’s. Loosend is that unique.
