I don’t know much about Akira Kurosawa, I have briefly sat through a couple of his movies and know that they involve death, which is the focus of this comic book zine with strips outlining moments of death in Kurosawa’s life. The cartoons are incredibly cute, I sort went “aww” when I read the strip where his dog dies and he comments that it resembled sashimi. Then I really wanted some sashimi. I guess I might have missed the point, but you should definitely pick up this quirky Lil Akira. (Sheri Barclay)
