If you are looking for good old fashioned anti-community values imbued with classically perplexed mixed symbology where Satanism meets conspiracy meets new age tribalism, then the very great, very strange Lesbian Christ is for you. This extended goth joke produces some chilling moments. Be sure and ask for Mark of the Beast, a pamphlet opening up to a year-book style class photo. Each generic kiddie pic has a single word caption under it (instead of, say, the kid’s name). Liar, Trendy, Obese, and Common are a few examples. Under the double spread class photo runs the headline: “Are You Not Guilty?” Also look out for the feature Environmental Aids to Self Mutilation which addresses the problems of self mutilators who are “bored, jaded, unimaginative” or “squeamish” or, worst of all, “unrealized”.
