Lemming in Trouble

There is something heartfelt and beautiful about this retarded little comic book. Basically, a lemming commits suicide. The sparse line-drawings showing our hero the lemming coming to grips with the inevitability of his demise make me wonder if I should join him. Not because the drawings are bad, but because I really feel sad when I think about the lemming standing at the edge of a cliff and pondering his future: “He remembered the time that all the others ran off the cliff. He didn’t understand, then.” This is the coffee table comic booklet you need for your periodic wallow in adolescent angst. It’s got just the right mix of pathos, humour, perversity, and rodent. (Are lemmings rodents? Find out in Lemming in Trouble #2!) (HN)
