This seventh issue of Jackknife Express is filled with poems, short narrative blurbs, and comical cartoons. A great majority are funny and amusing, most are erotic and titillating in varying degrees. Topics range from contortionists to delis to weather. To my surprise, the weather related work turned out to be my favourite. I didn’t list all of the topics mentioned in this issue but it’s surprising just how some people can coax humour and eroticism from a wide variety of subjects. Never before in my life have I been so amused by a large piece of paper folded in quarters. (Terry Harjanto)
