Indie Front (by Malibu Stacey)

As seen in the Canadian Internet Handbook, no less. Very pretty. Purports to be a journal of the trials and tribulations of all those penitent seekers caught in the indie music scene. Appears to be a vanity press for this one particular indie band, Malibu Stacey (sound clips and photos just a click away). The e-zine itself is delivered to subscribers biweekly by e-mail, but there’s a set of back issues at the web site. A lot of the issues contain absolutely  nothing of interest, but some of them, like the one about how not to waste money in a recording studio, are pretty meaty. Subscriptions are free, just send your e-mail address to <[email protected]> and they’ll sign you up. The site also features an extensive list of pointers to other resources on the net of interest to musician types.
