In Grave Ink

First outing for this Alberta litzine yields a pretty accomplished batch of poems and one story. Nancy Kang ruminates on the violent nature of the boy. Fred Wah is precise in his evocation of the seasons – “X equals/some frosty road taken”. There’s a decidedly distanced tone to this zine until Kiki Bonbon’s “Alanis” takes over, a conversation between two young women skewering celebrity and mall life while on break from their jobs at the Bay.
