Wait, don’t go yet. Just had to tell you that I’ve been obsessing lately over the work of Steven Gilbert. I’ve got all six of this series of comics, I can’t stop their monotonous industrial silence from screaming in my head. The comic equivalent of the early sci-fi silent film, this is wonderful, horrible work, a world where everything has already been lost – no more people, no more talk, just the mindless persistence of the human race in various shades of gray.
