Housecat Magazine

Here’s how this zine starts: “All too often I feel like Charlton Heston, and it’s not completely unjustified.” What’s not to like about that? Who can’t identify with any or all the characters in Planet of the Apes, or Omega Man. Right? Then off we go for a quick tour of London, Ont, in an essay that says a thing or two about the town, mostly about its pro-business history and its profoundly inept mayor. Then before you know it, you’re at your final destination: the Kurt Vonnegut essay, part 1. Which is to say, that if you too are a Vonnegut fan, and want to dish it up about his genius, you’ve come to the right place. Do you think Player Piano was under-rated? Did you think you were alone? Don’t despair, Housecat’s here. (HC)
