Homobody

This queer zine is a collection of many things both informative and fun. The bulk of the zine is composed of comics and interviews. Most of the comics certainly have a rough-sketchy look to them and the writing isn’t the sharpest, but they’re still enjoyable for the most part. Two interviews conducted by the author examine the state of queer zines in both the past and present. The interview with members of the Queer Zine Archive Project examines the state of queer zines today and how they’ll be preserved for the future. To give an account of what queer zines were like a few decades in the past, the author also interviews Robert Triptow who was the editor of Gay Comix back in the early ’80s. To end off the zine, a few informative and insightful reviews of other zines are provided. (Terry Harjanto)
