Holy Bile

Ooofff, reading Holy Bile is like being punched in the gut really hard. And just as the wind goes out of yeah, your eyes roll up to the sky, the sun lands on a patch of your forehead and you feel the nasty holy glory of being alive. With knowledge comes pain. KO wants us to know that if you think you can gain independence through employment, you are sadly mistaken. He doesn’t mince words, condemning those who would remove “passive parasitism” as an option in order to force people to recognize their freedom through employment. The longest article in this issue is a forceful, analytic examination of the study to produce “the gay gene”. Great reading. Finally, the always straightforward KO comes back at us with a brief but insightful analysis of Vancouver zinester and punk dude Robert Dayton, chosen by KO as “Vancouver’s Punkest” punk. As zines go, it really doesn’t get much better then this – righteous bile by people who can actually write. (HN)
