HighGrader

HighGrader claims to be “a voice from the Northland,” one that is well informed and eager to pass the word around. This issue includes educational articles on Temagami, Kyoto and even the Raelians. Other topics range from AIDS in the African mines to a lament of Father Les Costello – a once professional hockey player turned priest who died last year and left many who remember his good deeds. I also appreciated the histories, one of a couple’s “charmed life” of hard work and the travelling they did together, and one about a miner named Rudi who was beaten and left for dead when he wouldn’t comply with others who wanted to steal from it. I relished in those stories. HighGrader is a great magazine; each article was fulfilling and kept me reading onward. (LR)
