High Grader Magazine

With Charlie Angus now elected to parliament, there will likely be changes to HighGrader. I’m hoping that it can survive and maintain its identity. While based in, and focused on life and work in Northern Ontario, it covers a wide range of topics of interest to the broader progressive community. Joe Muething’s “The Politics of Eating Local Foods,” does a very good job of linking the desire to grow foods for local consumption and voting. The purchasing of local foods is a challenge to the agri-food industry…the major force behind the removal of supports for local food production and substituting WTO agreements that encourage mono-culture and export of specialty products. Charlie Angus’s “Strange Fruit” looks at country musicians who have supported peace and social justice and those that have taken stands in support of war and harsh social polities. (Brian Burch)

I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Many thanks
