Here Civilization Ceased is a collection of very well written bunch of stories. I’m still not sure if it is based on fiction or real life experiences. Either way, the style of writing is philosophical and historically describes the land and cityscape of California. The writer is a wanderer, so the stories follow a nomadic mentality, one of petty theft, distaste for the establishment and an extremely romantic view of the countryside he explored. What drew me into the writing was the attraction to vertigo, reminiscent memories, all written with a hint of honesty. I mean, who would describe such a life and then admit he grew up watching Full House? Get this zine, its well worth the two bucks. (LR)
