Less a comic than a picture book that reveals a tale of tragic love through a series of stark panels with words. Individual pages remind me of Raymond Pettibon’s work (see cover of Sonic Youth’s GOO LP or any early SST records). Though the art and lettering are childlike (no, make that adolescent), the details of a fucked-up relationship are very adult. This is too familiar.
